The most efficient method of cleaning the home today is by using a central cleaning system. Nutone offers many types of systems to meet your cleaning needs.

Why a Nutone Central Cleaning System?

The Central Cleaning System offers many advantages over the conventional upright vacuum.

POWER.... a Central Cleaning System pulls more dirt and dust out of your home because the motor is so powerful. The power unit of the system is located in an out of the way place in the home, such as a basement. This allows the power unit to be larger and more powerful than most portable vacuum cleaners.

LESS DUSTING.... Filter bags on portable vacuums simply do not trap fine particles of dust, so they resettle on carpets, furniture and into the air you breathe. Nutone central Cleaning Systems trap dirt and dust in two filters inside the power unit, away from living areas. Systems can be vented to the outside. Great for those who suffer household dust allergies!

BUILT-IN CONVENIENCE.... This means you don't have to lug around a heavy vacuum cleaner motor. This really makes a difference when cleaning stairs and those hard to reach areas.

QUIETER.... Because the power unit and soil receptacle are tucked away in the basement, garage or utility room, not only is the dirt trapped in that remote place, but so is the noise.

A GOOD INVESTMENT.... A Central Cleaning System has been shown to be one of the most desired features in a new home and actually adds to the resale value of the home.

LESS MAINTENANCE.... The filter bags on the Nutone Central Cleaning System are a large capacity 6 gallon bag. They normally need emptying only twice a year.

How Does The System Work?

The power unit installs in any area, such as a utility room, basement or garage, away from daily living activities. Tubing, running under the floor or in the attic, connects through the walls to attractive inlets placed strategically throughout the home. When it's time to vacuum, simply insert the hose into an inlet to turn the system on automatically. The long flexible hose enables you to vacuum from room to room, even up and down stairs, without having to carry or pull a heavy canister or upright vacuum around. Removing the hose turns the system off.

Can I Install a Central Cleaning System in my Home?

YES... Installing is easy in existing homes. Cutting through drywall, plaster or flooring can be kept to a minimum and is determined by the number and location of the vacuum inlets. Tubing can be run through cold air returns, closets and stairwells. Each Central Cleaning System comes with a Planning and Installing Guide. The do-it yourself homeowner, with some knowledge of electricity, can install the Nutone Central Cleaning System typically in one day.
