The Model 9400 is a complete system incorporated into an existing phone
system. It allows you to speak to a door with any touch-tone telephone in
the home. When the door bell rings, you pick up any telephone and press
"#" or "*" to instantly communicate with the person at the
door. After hanging up, the phone automatically reconnects to the outside
line.
How do I wire for this?
1) You will connect the incoming wire from your telephones to the 8053 or
8051 distribution hub.
2) You can then connect the incoming phone line to the 8053 or 8051
3) You then run a two, 2-wire connections from the 8053 or 8051 to the
8400 module (included in 9400 kit) input for the incoming phone line and the
household phones.
4) You then run a two wire connection from the door speaker which mounts
in a single gang box to the 8400 module
5) plug in power supply
6) Done
What do I need?

- The 8053 is a 10
bridged type 110 punch-down hub. It can handle up to nine telephone lines.
It can be wired in parallel with other 8053 panels for additional phone
lines.

- The 8051distributes telephone service with modular RJ45
connections. It also provides loop-through on one pair for a security
system.
