The IM-2003 Nutone radio-intercom is an older unit that is easily replaced by the current IM-3303 system. Both system were a 3 wire system. This means that you will be able to use your existing wiring when installing your new system. You will even be able to re-use the existing rough-in mounting brackets for the new room stations. Below is a list of the old item and the replacement. If you are looking for a little more power and a CD player, you can upgrade to the DMC3-4. With the DMC3-4, you would be required to upgrade your room speakers.

Both of these systems are a 3-wire system. That means that you will be able to use your existing wiring. The IM-3303 is large enough to cover the old hole, but not large enough to cover the foot print made by the IM-2003. There is an update frame available(IA-119) that will cover the footprint of the old master. |

Both rough-ins are the same size. The IM-2003 had one transformer. The new IM-3303 uses two transformers. You would have to connect the power to the two new transformers in the IR-104. |

The IC-201 was mounted in an IR-81 rough-in frame. It can be replaced with either an IC-301 or IC-331. The IC-301 is the easiest to install because it will fit into the old rough-in fame. To use the IC-331 you will use an IR-91 rough-in frame. |
